Dirty Little Secrets by Liliana Hart ~ Fiction Book Review

17153446There’s nothing like free to get you (or me, at least) to try something new. And honestly, I’m a sucker for a book with the word secrets in the title. I don’t know why, and I’d rather not analyze what that may say about me, so watch my other hand while I wave it around and skip ahead to the review.

First, let me say that this is the first in the J.J. Graves Mystery series, and was (or may still be) available for free on Kindle. Second, I have to let you know that my favorite part of this book was not the mystery or the writing, but J.J.’s witty, snarky, sarcastic and sometimes even a bit raunchy inner dialogue.

It’s not often that I really like and/or identify with a character in a book I’m reading. Usually the characters play second fiddle to the plot for me; as long as I can stand them, an awesome plot = an awesome book. In this case, an engaging character made the plot that much better for me. Enough that, even though I swear that I don’t want to become ‘involved’ with any more series, I just did. Luckily this was a super quick read. 5 stars!
