About

Hi! I’m Shannon Hollinger and when I grow up, I want to be a writer.

A Short Bio ~

Shannon Hollinger is a Florida native who set out to explore the US, only to decide that she liked her homeland the best! She spent as much time in college as she could, majoring in everything from zoology to archaeology. Almost a decade later, she finally emerged into the real world with degrees in Crime Scene Technology & Physical Anthropology, as well as mad bar-tending skills! She finds writing to be a much cleaner way to spend her time than the autopsy suite. Most days it smells better, too.

A Gator on the MountainShannon enjoys writing mystery, suspense and thriller novels. Her short fiction has been published in a number of magazines and anthologies, most notable of which is a piece in Suspense Magazine for which she received a nomination to the Bram Stoker Award ballot.

Shannon prefers writing novels. She has finished several, but spends too much time reading, writing, wrangling dogs, gardening and chasing butterflies, and not enough time querying agents.
